Let me explain something, I NEVER do Oriental anything! I don't hate the style, it's just not my favorite and never the first thing that I look to when designing a space. I've seen some really cute oriental rugs, but this one always makes me stare. In a good way... I think?

The ceramic plates from HopeJohnson on Etsy are all so cute, but I love this one because it has the purple lotus flower. It would make a very cute serving plate!

Current Projects: Entryway and Bamboo Chair

This living/entryway has a color scheme of brown, taupe, and green. I have a few decor projects I'm working on right now, so I thought I should share...

This entryway needs work. We're trying to figure out a color to paint the door. I'm trying to convince her to go with a color that's a bit darker than the walls and white trim. I also need to install a cute curtain...

Below is a bedroom dresser that was moved to the entryway. Although it's large, it still works in this small space (more of that later). It was painted white, and now we need knobs and drawer pulls. (As you can see, I've placed a bunch of different items on the dresser, to picture each "style" and make a decision.) We're going to keep the green vase (love that vase!) and style around it. The hanging frame will stay (we'll need to find a picture to put in it), but everything else on the dresser will go...

I need to have this bamboo chair covered...

I'm would love to use a solid emerald green velvet fabric like this...
